Discussion on Documentation in a Post-War Context

The Adayaalam Centre for Policy Research in collaboration with P.E.A.R.L. and the Forum on Contemporary Issues at the Department of Law (Jaffna University) hosted a discussion on “Documentation in the Post-War Context” featuring the release of:

“Human Rights Documentation in a Transitional Justice Context” – a booklet prepared by Adayaalam Centre for Policy Research

AND

“Erasing the Past: Repression of Memorialization in the North-East” – a report prepared by P.E.A.R.L.

Dr. Nimmi Gowrinathan is a Visiting Professor at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at City College, a Senior Research Scholar at the University of California Berkeley’s Center for Race & Gender. She is also the Founder/Director of the Politics of Sexual Violence Initiative.www.deviarchy.com

Mr. Mario Arulthas is the Advocacy Director of People for Equality and Relief in Lanka (P.E.A.R.L.)

Mr. Shalin is a journalist based in Jaffna who has reported extensively on human rights violations in the North-East over the past years.
